Our Story
Gilsys was founded in Barcelona in 2004 with the idea of offering innovative, customised software programming solutions based on free software. We later moved to Ripoll (in the Ripollès region, Girona) and now offer our services from Sant Quirze de Besora (in the Osona region, Barcelona).

We have been programming since 2004, and artificial intelligence has changed the way we work. This is what we apply in every project.
Judgment and review
AI makes us more productive, but our responsibility for what we deliver is the same. We review what it proposes and accept nothing without knowing why.
AI savings benefit the client too
If a task that used to take eight hours now takes two thanks to AI, we say so, and the quote reflects it.
AI where it adds value
Not everything is solved with AI. When the result has to follow fixed rules and always be the same, we program traditional algorithms.
Independence and privacy
Twenty years ago we did not want to depend on closed-source software; today we do not want the company to depend on an AI provider. And data privacy is discussed with the client before anything is integrated.
High standards
A 9 out of 10 on an exam is a top grade; a tool in which 90% of the features work is a failure. We do not consider a tool finished until all of it works.
Continuous learning and renewal
Since 2024 we have changed the way we work frequently, to bring in new AI tools and automations, not only to save work, but also to be able to deliver even more solid products, tested with the best development practices. We teach the younger people on the team to understand why something works, not just to validate it.
